La Tene ii
A sword inspired by the finds of the La Tene culture of the celtic era (approx 450BC-50AD).
The blade of this piece is straight layer pattern weld, with a selective etch, resisted along the edge and point, a method seen in original pieces. I based the hilt collar on an artifact known as The South Cave Sword - a find from East Yorkshire, England. The large cast bronze collar is atypical, replacing the normal parabolic face plate, and is the only example that I know of.
The hilt is made up of bronze, circassian walnut burl, and red stag antler.
